Today is the official last day of classes for the Fall 09 Quarter at the Ohio State University. Next week is exams, and then I won't be stepping into a classroom till January 4th. I need to look over my work schedule and exam schedule and figure out my own schedule. I finished my three capstone drawings in Beginner's Drawing Class, so I guess that could be considered a final? Once I get my portfolio back I need to find my first of each type of drawing we did and compare it to my capstones to see how much I improved. I already know I did by a great deal, but the restrictiveness and such of the marks left behind by pencils still makes me nervous... but I finally figured out how to make lighter marks and such on the heavier leads and figure out weight and all that good stuff. The survey was done back in early November, so no exam for that. Basically all I have is my Psychology exam Tuesday, which I'll spend as much of my time till then studying for it to make up for my crappy quiz grades and the second midterm. Then I have my Art Concepts & Issues exam Wednesday around 11:30. I got an A for that midterm so if I go over the notes I should be fine.
Okay... I am currently working on a commission for someone, and that should be done soon. Then I'm going to see if I have enough time for the contest I was planning on joining a while back. I think I have till the eight which only gives me till... Tuesday? I believe so but I'm going to try. After that I'm going to finally get started on the webcomic. I'll have the link once I get it all set up, and maybe a page to get everyone interested. I already have Google AdSense, and it's tied to my blog on Blogger here
[link] . I'm not supposed to enforce it but if you click on the ads it makes me a small amount of free $. After I get enough traffic or anything I can get it for each page view. I'm going to try working on that and making it exciting... I'm also going to join some other thing once I get the webcomic going... and eventually get some books to get me started on making my own site if I can afford it and get the traffic.
Which brings me to this, I was advised to stay in Columbus and find a seasonal job nearby. I applied to a couple places and no reply yet... probably should be more patient, though. Anyways... I know some people are probably tight budgeted right now... but I am willing to negotiate an art print deal or commissions anywhere from $10-35 or so. I'll work on any of these before I do anything with the webcomic. I'll be fully appreciative of any help I get.
So, I hope everyone is getting into the holiday cheer. I finally found a front door for my wreath, and we could be lighting the house soon. There's a house nearby where the entire house is covered, I'm glad I don't have to pay that electric bill. I also have my tree and stuff. I'm thinking of what to get everyone for Christmas, if I can even afford it, which depending may be very iffy... A number of the people I left behind in or near Portage County say being able to see me again is a present enough.
Okay, it looks like I'm going to be busy for a while, and I thank everybody who gives me their support.
